The Monday After Thanksgiving - 2007
Often the anticipation is worse than the actuality; it was this past week. Somehow Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were a time of turmoil and grief; but Thanksgiving day with extended family was a joy; and projects with friends on Friday and Saturday were so much fun to do; and visiting Sunday was a joy. Church Sunday morning was a bit bumpy; I have realized that going there simply triggers grief; I do not know when that will change. It is a mixture of bittersweet joy and painful memories. This blog was not intended to be my personal journal, it is meant to bring forth the remembrance of the best of Vivian; and very little of her was not the very best. God pruned her into a vessel truly fit for his service, only to take her away at the height of her vivid and talented life. The first question I will ask in heaven is why, unless somehow God lets me see the reasons more clearly in this life, which he usually does not do. Yet he simply insists on acceptance by faith of his sovereignty in our lives; this pleases him when his children do so. Thank you to my good friends and sisters that made this holiday go so well.
